BUD GRACE IN TRONDHEIM
The 25th and 26th of November-97, Bud Grace, the master himself, stopped by
Trondheim (Norway) for some signing-sessions in connection with the launching
of a new Ernie book and the CD-ROM "Ernie-Broke in Bayonne". Both the media
and the fans turned up in large numbers, all of them trying to get a word with
or an autograph from the creator of Ernie.
After signing the CD-ROM in the store Ram & Rom, Bud and his companions
continued to one of the local bookstores to sign the new Ernie comic book
(no.5 this far) which is being released in Scandinavia now. For five frantic
hours, armed with nothing but a 0,5 Staedtler drawing-pen, he had to fight off
the huge number of fans who had turned up to meet him.
Last stop in Trondheim was at the student-union. Here Bud put on a brilliant
stand up cartoonist-show and he managed to keep hundreds of frozen students
entertained with stories about his honeymoon and excotic bird-watching. Then
it was time to leave Trondheim and travel on to Tallin to spread the word of
Ernie to the Estonians.
Dag Kolstad is giving a demonstration of the CD-ROM "Ernie-Broke in
Bayonne" at the store "Ram & Rom" in Trondheim.
A lot of Ernie-books are going to appear under the
Norwegian christmas trees this year.
For only NOK 5,- people could sneak a peek at grandma Grace's 25 year old
falce teeth. If you coughed up NOK 10,-, you could take a picture as well,
an offer Mads Iversen just couldn't resist.
Bud Grace is entertaining the students in Trondheim with his one-man stand
up cartoonist show.
